The successor to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan could be his son Bilal Erdoğan, his son-in-law Selçuk Bayraktar, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, or former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.
Modern.az reports that this was written by the influential British magazine "The Economist".
Political experts interviewed by the publication noted that Hakan Fidan has a greater chance of becoming the successor to the Turkish leader. According to them, Hakan Fidan led the country's intelligence service for more than 10 years before becoming Turkey's foreign minister, and is more experienced in state administration.
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) refused to discuss the issue of replacing the current president, stating that "there is no Plan B".
The next presidential elections in Turkey are scheduled for 2028. Some political experts also consider early presidential elections possible.
