Iran has been included in the list of foreign states where Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions and consulates operate under conditions of war and armed conflict.
Modern.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a Decision on amending the "Rules for providing guarantees and compensations to diplomatic service employees" approved by Decision No. 11 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 21, 2008.
According to the Decision, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been added to the "List of foreign states where diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan operate under conditions of war and armed conflict."
This Decision applies from March 1, 2026, and is valid until December 31.
It should be noted that Iran is the 8th country included in this category.
