Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that he had accepted the resignation of his advisor, former foreign minister Miroslav Lajčák, after his name was mentioned in documents related to the controversial American financier Jeffrey Epstein.
According to Modern.az, Fico stated that Lajčák, taking a step befitting a diplomat, himself proposed the termination of cooperation.
According to a publication by Slovak media, in the disclosed materials, Epstein presented Lajčák as a person with international influence and called him his “friend”.
These revelations led to political discussions in Slovakia and consequently, the decision to resign was made.
