Iranian authorities are ready for talks with the administration of US President Donald Trump if trust between the parties is restored.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an interview with "CNN" television channel.
The diplomat noted that substantive talks must be based on trust, but currently Iran does not see the US as a reliable negotiating partner.
According to him, it is important to overcome this distrust, and currently mediators from friendly countries in the region are making efforts in this direction.
"Currently, the exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington continues through mediators", - Araqchi noted.
