Jeffrey Epstein's heirs have reached a settlement of up to $35 million with women who claim to be victims of abuse.
Modern.az reports that “Bloomberg” has reported on this.
The agreement is intended to resolve all claims by a group of victims comprising at least 40 women.
Darren Indyk and Richard Kahn, who served as Epstein's lawyer and accountant, stated that the settlement will be financed from Epstein's remaining estate.
For the draft settlement to be final, it must be approved by a federal judge in New York. According to the documents, if there are more than 40 women in the group, the settlement will be $35 million; if there are fewer women, it will be $25 million.
This settlement will be the final step in a multi-year process concerning payments to the victims of one of the most high-profile scandals in the United States.
