An armed incident occurred in the Teotihuacan archaeological zone in Mexico.
Modern.az reports that "Reuters" agency and “Milenio” publication spread information citing local police.
The incident was recorded on April 20, around 11:00 local time, in the area of the Pyramid of the Moon. It is reported that one of the visitors climbed to the upper part of the pyramid and for unknown reasons began to shoot at those around him. According to witnesses, the armed person shouted and fired indiscriminately, and had a tablet in his hand along with a weapon. The attacker then committed suicide.
As a result of the shooting, a woman, a Canadian citizen, lost her life. 13 other foreign citizens were injured. Among the injured are citizens of the USA, Colombia, Brazil, Canada and Russia.
According to the information of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, the condition of the injured Russian citizen is stable and there is no threat to his life.
