Iran has not demanded an extension of the ceasefire regime. Modern.az reports with reference to "Tasnim" that Tehran officials stated this.

It is assumed that Trump's statement about extending the ceasefire indefinitely may have several meanings.

"Trump understands that war will not change anything, so he considers exiting the war the best option for himself. Even if he continues the war, he will achieve nothing."

"However, the possibility that any of Trump's actions, including the extension of the ceasefire, may be deceptive cannot be ruled out. It is possible that Trump claims the ceasefire has been extended, but after that, the same US government or Israel carries out acts of aggression," - this option is definitely in the focus of Iranian officials, and Iran does not underestimate this possibility.

Tehran believes that the US will withdraw from the war, but Israel will remain in the war under the pretext of violating the ceasefire regime in Lebanon.

"However, Americans have been warned before that the US cannot unilaterally withdraw from the war and continue to involve Israel in military operations," Tasnim wrote.

"If the US wants to keep the shadow of war, it should also consider that the Strait of Hormuz will remain completely closed," Tehran officials said.
