According to the information, the USA ranks first in the world in terms of the number of military bases located abroad. The USA is reported to have 887 foreign military bases.
The report notes that Turkey ranks second with 133 military bases and is presented as the only Muslim country with such a wide military network globally with this indicator.
The next places in the list are occupied by the United Kingdom (117 bases), Russia (29 bases), India (20 bases) and Israel (14 bases).
Analysts state that Turkey's military presence is not limited to the immediate region. The country's military facilities located in the Middle East, Africa and the Mediterranean basin indicate an increase in its geopolitical influence.
It is noted that the geographical scope and strategic location of these bases demonstrate Turkey's strengthening role in the international security system.
