About 100 passengers have been evacuated from the cruise ship "MV Hondius" due to the spread of hantavirus, which arrived in the Canary Islands of Spain.
Modern.az reports that Spanish Minister of Health Monica Garcia announced this at a press conference.
According to her, 94 people representing 19 different countries were disembarked from the ship.
Previously, the ship anchored in the port of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Spanish authorities have developed a special protocol for the evacuation of passengers.
According to information, the last repatriation flight is planned to be carried out on May 11.
