According to US intelligence, Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in the process of recovering from serious injuries, and he also plays a significant role in Iran's war negotiation strategy.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that according to the intelligence report, Mojtaba Khamenei is being held under strict protection.
The influential "Sharq al-Awsat" newspaper writes that currently, a large part of daily operations in Iran are managed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
"There is no indication that Mojtaba Khamenei is continuously issuing orders, but there is also no information proving the opposite," a secret source told US intelligence.

It should be recalled that Mojtaba Khamenei suffered serious injuries on February 28 as a result of an air attack by the US-Israel coalition. He added that the wounds are healing.
