The US Senate has confirmed Kevin Warsh as chairman of the Federal Reserve System (FED). Kevin Warsh won the support of 54 senators in the Senate in the relevant vote, while 45 senators voted against.
Modern.az reports that Warsh will begin his duties after the term of office of the current FED head Jerome Powell expires at the end of this week.
It should be noted that the candidacy of 56-year-old Warsh, a former high-ranking FED official, was put forward by President Trump.
