According to the information, the Chinese security service prohibited a Secret Service employee accompanying American journalists from entering the temple area with a weapon.
The incident reportedly occurred before the visit of US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping to the site. Due to the dispute over the weapon, media representatives were prevented from entering the temple complex for approximately 30 minutes.
The Chinese side insisted on strict adherence to security rules. Despite the delay, the visit of the heads of state took place as planned.
