US President Donald Trump said that Xi Jinping has agreed to order 200 planes from "Boeing" and assessed this step as a commitment of the Chinese leader.
Modern.az reports that Trump said this in an interview with "Fox News" TV channel.
"The only thing he agreed to today is that he will order 200 large planes. And that means a lot of jobs," the US president said.
Trump also noted that the aerospace giant initially planned to receive a smaller order.
"Boeing wanted 150 orders, but got 200," Trump emphasized.
In his opinion, Xi Jinping's statement means a commitment to advance the process of purchasing aircraft from "Boeing".
