Russia has started nuclear drills.
Modern.az reports that the Russian Ministry of Defense is conducting exercises on the topic of "preparation and use of nuclear forces in the face of an aggressive threat" by the Russian Armed Forces from May 19 to 21.
More than 64,000 soldiers, more than 7,800 weapons, military and special equipment, including more than 200 missile launchers and eight strategic submarines, participated in the exercises.
The purpose of the nuclear exercises of the Russian Armed Forces is to practice deterring the enemy and to check the level of readiness of the participating troops.
A day earlier, exercises on the combat use of nuclear weapons began in Belarus.
