The European Union plans to fine "Google" hundreds of millions of euros based on the results of an antitrust investigation.
Modern.az reports this with reference to foreign media.
The preparation of the relevant decision is in the final stage and it is planned to be announced before the start of the summer vacation. The publication notes that the fine intended for "Google" will be the largest fine ever applied in the EU for violating the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
The investigation, officially launched in March 2025, covered "Google"'s practice of ranking search results. The company is accused of prioritizing its own services in search results and thereby violating the DMA.
