US President Donald Trump wants Iran to confirm its nuclear program commitments in writing.
Modern.az reports that “ABC News” has spread information citing sources.
According to the TV channel, in order to overcome the deadlock in the ongoing negotiations between Washington and Tehran, Trump demands that Iran formalize specific nuclear concessions in writing as part of the initial agreement.
It is reported that the Iranian side has so far only given verbal assurances that it will comply with certain conditions regarding the nuclear program. However, the US President believes that these commitments are not reliable enough.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated during Senate hearings that he is ready to discuss Iran's nuclear program concessions. At the same time, he emphasized that conducting negotiations does not guarantee a final agreement that will satisfy the United States.
