Explosion sounds have been heard in the cities of Asaluyeh and Bushehr in southern Iran.
Modern.az reports that Iranian media and regional sources have disseminated this information. According to preliminary reports, explosion sounds were recorded in various areas of Bushehr province, including Asaluyeh. No official statement has yet been made by Iranian officials regarding the cause of the incident.
Bushehr province is the region where Iran's only operational nuclear power plant is located. Asaluyeh, on the other hand, is one of the strategic energy centers where the South Pars gas field, as well as the country's largest oil and gas and petrochemical complexes, operate.
