The new leader of the ruling Labour Party in Great Britain has been determined.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that Andy Burnham, former mayor of Greater Manchester and member of the House of Commons, has been elected chairman of the Labour Party.
The results were announced by Shabana Mahmud, chair of the National Executive Committee, at a special party conference.
Andy Burnham was the mayor of Greater Manchester from 2017-2026, and is currently a member of the House of Commons.
It should be noted that since the Labour Party is currently in power, Andy Burnham will be the new Prime Minister of Great Britain.
