Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Modern.az reports that this information was shared on the "X" social media account of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

"During the conversation, Prime Minister Pashinyan congratulated the President of Turkey on the occasion of the past Eid al-Adha; on this occasion, the process of normalization of Turkey-Armenia bilateral relations and regional issues were also discussed," the post said.

Erdogan noted that the normalization between Turkey and Armenia continues with steps aimed at starting direct trade.

It was also emphasized that Turkey strives for peace and stability in the region and will always support steps to be taken in this direction.
