80-year-old Vladimir Koryakin, who called himself the "General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union", has been arrested in Moscow.
Modern.az reports that, according to the "Mash" Telegram channel, a criminal case has been opened against the pensioner under the article of extremism, and he has been sent to a pre-trial detention center.
According to the investigation, Koryakin was one of the leaders of the "Citizens of the USSR" organization, which is banned in Russia. The 80-year-old man has not accepted the collapse of the Soviet Union for 35 years and has been instilling this ideology in those around him.
It should be noted that members of this organization completely deny the existence of the modern Russian state, do not recognize official documents, and oppose state institutions.
