In 2025, the number of children under 1 year old who died in Azerbaijan was 1312. The infant mortality rate among girls has increased.
According to Modern.az, the issue was reflected in the Information of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025, which was discussed at today's meeting of the Family, Women and Children Affairs Committee of the Milli Majlis.
The report stated that in 2025, the number of children under 1 year old who died was 1312. Of them, 728 were boys and 584 were girls.
It was noted that compared to 2024, in 2025, infant mortality per 1000 live births increased from 12.8 to 13.0 in girls, and decreased from 14.8 to 14.3 in boys.
