"Azerbaijan is considering full withdrawal from the Council of Europe."
Modern.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the opening ceremony of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum on "The mission of media in promoting peace: Restoring truth and rebuilding trust" held in Shusha.
The head of state noted that there is another picture in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe: "I regret that such a situation has occurred. At one time, when I became a member of the Azerbaijani Parliament in 2001, I was the head of the delegation. I worked there for two years. Four sessions were held there during the year. This was an unpleasant event for me. In 2023, we used our legitimate right to liberate our lands remaining in the hands of separatists from occupation. However, they adopted resolutions to punish Azerbaijan."
