The price of the Hajj pilgrimage varies depending on the country and the chosen service package.
Modern.az compared the amounts announced for one person in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, and Iran.
In Azerbaijan, the price of a Hajj pilgrimage package for one person was initially set at 6100 US dollars, as it was last year. However, a certain increase in the amount is not excluded. The price announced by the Caucasus Muslims Office for the 2026 Hajj season was also 6100 dollars.
According to the official prices published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Turkey for 2026, the pilgrimage for one pilgrim in a four-person room is 26,000 Saudi riyals, approximately 6933 dollars. In a three-person room, the amount is 27,750 riyals, or 7400 dollars, and in a two-person room, it is 29,750 riyals, approximately 7933 dollars. When calculating the dollar equivalent, an exchange rate of one dollar equal to 3.75 riyals was used.
There is no single Hajj package price in Russia. According to Rushan Abbyasov, deputy chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, the average cost of the pilgrimage in 2026 was 450,000 rubles. This is approximately 5353 dollars at the exchange rate announced by the Central Bank of Russia for September 23, 2026. The reported standard package prices start from 350-400 thousand rubles, which is approximately 4163-4758 dollars at the same exchange rate.
According to the Tehran branch of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Iran, the price for one person in ordinary pilgrimage groups varies between 329-384 million tomans. This amount, when calculated at the exchange rate recorded in the Iranian currency market on September 22, 2026, is approximately 1411-1647 dollars. The announced 384-406 million tomans in groups offering special accommodation is approximately 1647-1741 dollars by the same calculation.
The dollar figures for Iran are not official package prices, but the equivalent of the amount announced in tomans calculated at a market exchange rate for a later date. The dollar equivalent of the Russian price was also calculated in the same way using a later exchange rate. Therefore, these figures should not be taken as the actual dollar amount paid by pilgrims at the time of the pilgrimage.
