NATO is considering abandoning annual summits amid growing tensions between the US and European countries.

Modern.az reports that "Reuters" has disseminated information on this matter, citing sources in Brussels and Washington.

According to the agency, NATO is exploring the possibility of discontinuing the practice of holding annual summits, which has become established in recent years. This move is reportedly aimed at "avoiding potentially tense meetings" with US President Donald Trump in 2027.
