Ukrainian servicemen hit Russian “Mi-28” and “Mi-17” combat helicopters deployed in Russia's Voronezh region with unmanned aerial vehicles.

Modern.az reports that Robert “Madyar” Brovdin, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, released information about this.

According to him, the strike was carried out on the landing-takeoff pad where 4 “Mi-28” and “Mi-17” helicopters were located.

Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces hit two “Mi-28” and “Mi-17” helicopters in Russia's Voronezh region, 150 kilometers from the contact line. In that area, helicopters were supplied with fuel, and inter-flight technical inspection was also carried out. The strikes bypassed the main propellers and hit the rear central part of the engine compartment,” the commander clarified.

As a result of the attack, at least one of the specialists servicing the helicopters was killed.

It should be noted that Russia's “Mi-28” attack helicopter is designed to destroy armored vehicles, manpower and low-flying air targets. It is equipped with cannon weapons and guided missiles, and can also perform tasks at any time of the day and in difficult weather conditions.

Russian troops actively use “Mi-28” helicopters during combat operations, including to support ground operations. The “Mi-17” transport helicopter is used for transporting personnel and cargo, as well as for evacuation operations.
