It is reported that the sharp rise in the company's shares is due to the increasing demand for chips used for artificial intelligence systems. During the trading session, Samsung shares rose by up to 13 percent.
According to the information, the shares of Samsung Electronics, the world's largest manufacturer of NAND and DRAM memory chips, have increased more than four times in the last year.
With this, Samsung became the second Asian company whose market capitalization exceeded 1 trillion dollars. Previously, only Taiwan's semiconductor manufacturer “TSMC” had achieved this indicator.
