Turkey will now also list Armenia as the final destination country in documents related to its exported products.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Pashinyan noted that this decision does not mean the physical direct delivery of products from Turkey to Armenia. According to him, it is only about indicating Armenia as the final recipient country in the documents.
“If any product is purchased from one country and exported through a third country, the country to which the product is finally sent must also be indicated,” Armenian media quoted Pashinyan as saying.
The Prime Minister added that until now, Armenia was not included in the list of final destination countries in Turkish legislation. Therefore, a third state was formalized as the importing country, and the products were then sent to Armenia through that country.
