The "Nitrogen" hacker group claimed to have infiltrated several "Foxconn" enterprises and stolen confidential information belonging to "Apple", "Google", "Nvidia", "Intel" and "Dell" companies. According to the criminals, they obtained approximately 8 TB of data, covering more than 11 million files.

Modern.az reports that "MacRumors" published information about this.

Among the allegedly stolen materials are internal documents related to "Apple" projects and technical drawings of other technology companies. Although "Foxconn" confirmed the fact of a cyberattack on its factories in the USA, it did not specify whether customer data was actually captured by hackers. According to the company's statement, cybersecurity specialists immediately took appropriate measures, and thanks to this, the production process did not stop. Currently, the enterprises affected by the cyberattack are gradually returning to normal operation.

"Foxconn" is one of "Apple"'s main partners in the field of device assembly. However, "Apple" usually strictly limits contractors' access to information about future products and provides suppliers only with technical details necessary for production.

According to "Coveware" researchers, the "Nitrogen" group may be associated with the leaked code of the "Conti 2" ransomware. Experts also emphasize that due to an error in the encryption program used by hackers, it may be impossible to recover files even if the requested amount is paid.
