The monthly losses of the Russian army in Ukraine exceed the number of newly recruited servicemen by approximately 6,000 people.

"Although Russia continues to recruit approximately 1,000 people per day for military service, this number has not been enough to replace those killed and wounded in combat over the past two months. We currently estimate that the difference between the number of people Russia loses as a result of battles and the number of people it can recruit into the army is approximately 6,000 people per month,” one Western official told the publication.
In the West, it is believed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is responding to the resulting manpower shortage by intensifying attacks against Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and population.
"According to reports, since the beginning of July, Russian forces have fired more than 360 missiles. Western officials attribute this to Ukraine's limited air defense capabilities against ballistic missiles.
Apparently, Moscow will try to undermine the morale of the population by destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure this winter. Western officials also believe that the announcement of a new wave of mobilization in Russia could create serious political and economic risks for Moscow,” a Western official said.
