Fuel shortage has led to positive results in terms of public health and ecology.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russia's former chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko.
According to Onishchenko, due to the fuel crisis, the number of cars on the streets of Moscow has decreased, as a result of which the air quality in the city has improved.
He noted that less use of cars causes people to walk, which has a positive effect on their health.
"This situation provides a double benefit. On the one hand, the ecological situation improves, and on the other hand, people's health is strengthened because they move more," Onishchenko said.
