Public trust in Russian President Vladimir Putin has sharply decreased over the past week.
Modern.az reports that according to the results of a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) from June 22-28, Putin's trust level decreased by 3.4 percentage points in one week, falling to 73.3 percent.
According to the information, this is considered the fastest weekly decrease in Putin's trust rating recorded since the start of Russia's war against Ukraine.
It is stated that the largest decline before this in 2026 was recorded at the beginning of April. At that time, Putin's trust indicator fell by 1.8 percentage points in one week.
According to the survey results, the share of those who approve of Putin's activities as president has also decreased. Thus, the ratio of those who support his activities decreased by 3.5 percentage points in the last week, amounting to 66.9 percent.
The last such sharp decline in this indicator was recorded in August 2024.
At the same time, the share of respondents who disapprove of Putin's activities increased from 19.7 percent to 21.3 percent.
