A closed-door meeting of Lebanese and Israeli delegations will take place in Rome, allowing technical groups to proceed with the actual implementation of the terms of the framework agreement.
Modern.az reports that Barak Ravid, a correspondent for "Axios," reported this, citing a high-ranking American official.
It should be recalled that the Lebanese government refused to participate in the next round of negotiations until the initial withdrawal of a part of Israeli troops from the south of the country.
"The first pilot project for troop withdrawal will be launched within a few days. Additional pilot zones are already in the mapping and planning stage. The US Army Central Command (CENTCOM) is coordinating further progress with both countries," the source noted.
According to him, in the near future, the US, together with international partners, will begin to provide assistance to the Lebanese government for the effective restoration of sovereignty in these pilot zones, and in the future, throughout the entire country.
