On the occasion of May 18, International Museum Day, an "Open Day" will be held in museums operating under the Ministry of Culture.
Modern.az reports that the ministry has released information about this.
On that day, visitors will be provided with free admission to museums.
The purpose of this initiative is to create conditions for people to spend their leisure time more efficiently, and to familiarize them with the rich history, culture, and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that International Museum Day was established in 1977 at the initiative of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), and its main goal is to draw attention to the important role of museums in the life of society.
