Vusal Aslanov, chairman of “Baku Metro” CJSC, called on passengers to behave more orderly on platforms.
Modern.az reports that the chairman of “Baku Metro” CJSC spoke about this in an interview with Trend International News Agency and “Azad Azərbaycan” Television (ATV).
“I have one request: our passengers should pay attention to equal distribution on the platform. This causes discomfort to other passengers. I often take the metro myself - both because it is the fastest means of transport, and to directly observe passenger habits. At “28 May” station, especially near the arch, the first carriage remains empty despite the crowd. Our employees regularly provide information; please follow those instructions. I have another request: when the door opens, first give way to those getting off, then get on. Moving in both directions at the same time not only creates difficulties, but every second of extended stopping time affects the entire movement schedule. It is an issue that these small changes made by our passengers directly affect the quality of our service”.
