Kazakhstan has completed the main stage of one of the country's largest telecommunication projects - the laying of the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
Modern.az reports that the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan disseminated information about this.
It was stated that the underwater cable was successfully delivered to the shores of Kazakhstan, thus completing the most complex stage of the project jointly implemented by "Kazakhtelecom" and "AzerTelecom International".
"The new Aktau-Sumgayit route will connect the digital infrastructure of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, creating a direct and high-speed data transmission corridor between Asia and Europe. The project will increase the reliability of international communication, as well as strengthen the transit potential of both countries," the statement said.
