Teachers have been teaching with the same program for years, and this is one of the reasons why students get low scores.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the chairman of the State Examination Center, Maleyka Abbaszade, in an interview with “Asan TV”.
The chairman of the SEC emphasized that the number of questions related to the 11th grade in the graduation exam is minimal:
“When we explain the exams, it is stated which grade each question belongs to. Among those questions, 1-2 questions belong to the 11th grade. The remaining questions belong to the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades. The format of the tasks is also known in advance”.
M. Abbaszade did not rule out that teachers also have a share in students' low scores:
“Unfortunately, teachers who organize exam preparation marathons do not take into account the information we provide. Because they are used to teaching in the same format and continue to prepare students in that way”.
“It is not possible to learn an 11-year program by only going to preparation in the 10th-11th grade. It is necessary to study from the primary school, from the 5th grade. This is a chain process” - she said.
