Document acceptance for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage will begin on September 24.
Modern.az reports that Vusal Jahangiri, head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) and head of the Hajj Electronic System, announced this.
According to him, based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, document acceptance will start earlier this year compared to previous years.
Initially, the price of a Hajj pilgrimage package for one person has been set at 6100 US dollars, as it was last year. However, a certain increase in price is not excluded.
V. Jahangiri stated that events happening in the world, as well as the reduction of service packages from 4 to 3 by the relevant authorities of Saudi Arabia and the addition of new services, may lead to a price increase:
"The Hajj pilgrimage will be organized in a unified format, as in previous years, and pilgrims' travel to Saudi Arabia will be carried out by air transport.
Document acceptance will be carried out from September 24, 2026, on weekdays from 10:00 to 16:00 at the administrative building of the CMO located at Mirza Fatali Street 7, Baku.
The following documents are required from individuals wishing to go on the Hajj pilgrimage:
-general civil passport (must be valid for at least 1 year);
-copy of identity card;
-2 color photographs measuring 5x5 centimeters on a white background (women in dark hijab);
-health certificate.
According to the requirements of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, the process of document registration and visa acquisition must be completed earlier than last year. We recommend citizens intending to go on the Hajj pilgrimage to register without delay."
