The current commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), General Ahmad Vahidi, is a target for the US and Israel.
Modern.az reports that, according to foreign media, the number one person the US Central Intelligence Agency and Israel's "Mossad" organization currently want to eliminate is Ahmad Vahidi. It is even reported that plans for this have been prepared.
However, these plans have been postponed due to the ceasefire agreement reached with Iran.
Currently, the real center of power in Iran is the IRGC, led by Ahmad Vahidi.
As a result of the war launched by the US-Israel coalition on February 28, Iran's religious leadership was effectively destroyed, and its place was practically taken by the military leadership of the IRGC.
Amidst the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking military leaders, as well as the severe wounding of the new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei, it is reported that the main decision-maker in the country is IRGC commander Ahmad Vahidi.
Major General Ahmad Vahidi is the third commander to lead the IRGC since the war began. The two previous commanders – Generals Hossein Salami and Mohammad Pakpour – were killed in the US-Israel attack.
Foreign media writes that the US-Israel coalition, which was able to eliminate the previous commanders, has not yet been able to track Ahmad Vahidi.
General Vahidi has not appeared in public since taking over the leadership of the IRGC. Foreign media writes that the main reason for A. Vahidi's hiding is most likely related to security. The US-Israel coalition, which eliminated other high-ranking Iranian commanders, is also "hunting" the current commander of the IRGC.
Due to prioritizing his security, Ahmad Vahidi prefers a shadow management model instead of appearing openly.
