The Syrian delegation led by Foreign Minister Asad al-Sheibani is participating in the sixth round of talks with Israel, which began in Paris with US mediation.

Modern.az reports this, citing the SANA agency.

The two-day talks are aimed at restoring the 1974 agreement on the separation of Israeli and Syrian forces in the Golan Heights.

The Syrian side demands the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the territories occupied in December 2024.

The Israeli delegation, in turn, is led by Yechiel Leiter, the country's ambassador to the US.
