The CHP chairman will leave politics in this case

In Turkey, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Özgür Özel, reiterated the demand for a rerun of the Istanbul mayoral elections.

Modern.az reports that he addressed this proposal to President Erdoğan.

According to Özel, if opposition candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu wins the rerun elections, the country should call early presidential elections. If the ruling party's candidate wins, Özel has personally promised to withdraw from politics.
