The former leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) was sentenced to prison.

Modern.az reports with reference to the Turkish media that a decision was made on the case heard in the Mersin 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance.

Former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was sentenced to 11 months and 20 days in prison on charges of "insulting the President".
