US President Donald Trump wants to make a big deal with Iran that will make the country “flourish”.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by US Vice President J.D. Vance.
“Trump doesn't want a small deal. He wants a big deal,” Vance said at a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event at the University of Georgia.
“The reason a deal hasn't been reached yet is that the president really wants a deal where Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons, isn't a state sponsor of terrorism, and the Iranian people can flourish, live in prosperity, and join the global economy. And that's exactly the deal he's proposing,” Vance noted.
He added that despite the existing distrust between the countries, he is optimistic about the possibility of such a deal.
“I am very pleased with the stage we are at right now,” Vance said.
In his opinion, the delegations in Islamabad “wanted to reach an agreement” despite decades of “distrust” between the US and Iran.
“We will continue negotiations and work to make this happen,” the US Vice President concluded.
