Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, commenting on armed incidents in schools, said that social networks have a destructive effect on children and adolescents.

According to Modern.az, the President said in his address to the nation after the government meeting that some platforms are turning into real "sewerage", corrupting the minds of children.

According to him, the digital environment is increasingly displacing traditional communication in the family.

Erdogan noted: "We often do not imagine with whom and how our children communicate in the virtual world when they are in the next room, and the time they spend with their parents is less than the time they spend in front of the screen."

It should be recalled that on April 14, an armed attack occurred in one of the schools in Sanliurfa province, as a result of which about 20 people were injured. The attacker was a former student who committed suicide.

A day later, on April 15, an armed incident also occurred in one of the schools in Kahramanmaras, as a result of which 9 people died: 8 students and 1 teacher. There are dozens of injured. The attacker was an 8th-grade student who committed suicide.
