In response to statements by US President Donald Trump, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a joint statement denying the existence of a rift in official Tehran.
Modern.az reports that in a joint message shared on their X accounts, they wrote: “There are no “hardliners” or “moderates” in Iran. We are all Iranians and revolutionaries, there is an iron-like unity between the nation and the state.”
“Thanks to this strong unity of the nation and the government and complete obedience to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, we will make the criminal aggressor regret his actions,” they added.
The President and the Speaker of Parliament also stated: “One God, one Leader, one nation and one path — this path is the path to Iran’s victory.”
It should be noted that US officials have made statements about a split between proponents of negotiations and the military establishment – IRGC – in Iran.
