More than 2,000 deaths have been recorded as a result of record heat observed in Spain and France in June.
Modern.az reports that "The Guardian" spread information about this.
It was stated that according to the forecast of the Spanish State Meteorological Agency, a hot and dry air mass will enter the country starting from Saturday. Next week, on Tuesday, the air temperature is expected to rise to 42-44 degrees in the south-east of the country. It was noted that high temperatures will increase the risk of forest fires, especially creating a danger for the elderly and people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
According to the information, 1,029 deaths related to high temperatures were recorded in Spain in June, and approximately 1,000 in France.
Scientists say that these extreme heats observed in Western Europe are related to climate change.
