The Swedish Ambassador to Russia was summoned to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
Modern.az reports that the official representative of the ministry, Maria Zakharova, released information about this.
Zakharova stated that during the meeting, the diplomatic representative will be reminded of Stockholm's official obligations under the Vienna Convention and the assurances it previously gave.
It should be recalled that an announcement was made on July 2 that the Swedish Ambassador would be summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The main reason for taking the diplomatic step is cited as an incident against the Russian foreign diplomatic mission:
"In connection with the attack on the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sweden, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Stockholm to Moscow is planned to be summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
