British Prince Harry will not be able to stay at Buckingham Palace during his planned visit to his homeland.
Modern.az reports that "Sky News" TV channel spread information about this.
The reason is that the duke confirmed his plans to London too late.
A representative for Prince Harry, King Charles III's youngest son, who lives in California, USA, issued a statement on Monday morning saying that the duke had accepted his father's offer to stay at his official residence. The representative also confirmed that Harry's wife Meghan Markle and their two children will not accompany him on this visit to Great Britain, which will begin on July 6.
However, a short time later, an official statement given to the TV channel by the Royal Chancellery noted that the offer to be a guest at Buckingham Palace is no longer valid, as Prince Harry did not confirm his stay at the residence within the specified time.
According to "The Daily Telegraph" newspaper, the Duke of Sussex officially refused the offer to stay at the palace on July 4, but then suddenly changed his mind. The publication's sources in the royal palace explained the incident as follows:
"At the moment Prince Harry changed his mind, it was already impossible to organize his reception at the palace and provide the necessary service. Because a certain minimum time is required for the royal palace to prepare for the reception of guests."
