The US Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the restoration of the naval blockade around Iran.
Modern.az reports that CENTCOM issued a statement about this.
According to the information, US forces have reimposed a naval blockade against ships heading to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas, effective 4:00 PM Eastern Coast time.
CENTCOM's statement indicates that more than 20 US Navy ships and hundreds of military aircraft are involved in the operation.
It was noted that the blockade is being carried out against the backdrop of strengthening US military presence in the Middle East.
