The European Rowing Championships for lightweight athletes, held in Varese, Italy, have concluded.
Modern.az reports that two athletes represented the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation in the competition, where the continent's strongest were determined.
The duo of Ziya Mammadov and Nurlan Pashayev finished second in the final race in the double sculls, winning a silver medal.
It should be noted that Ziya Mammadov and Nurlan Pashayev also won a bronze medal at the World Cup in academic rowing, held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from June 12 to 14.
