Currently, Eid al-Adha is being celebrated in Azerbaijan. In connection with the holiday, everyone tries to fulfill their duty, that is, to sacrifice and distribute.

It is interesting what events political parties will hold during Eid al-Adha.

Modern.az conducted a survey among various party leaders and politicians and learned about their plans for Eid al-Adha.

Fazil Mustafa, chairman of the Great Creation Party, chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, said that they distributed sacrificial shares this year, as every year:

“We distribute sacrifices to people we know are in need in the neighborhood and surroundings. This holiday is a holiday of kindness and everyone should do their best.”

Arzuxan Alizade, chairman of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party, deputy, stated that they will try to support certain social groups this year, as in previous years:

“In previous periods, we supported certain social groups within our means during Eid al-Adha and other significant days. During these holiday days, we will contact certain families and demonstrate our support to them.”

Razi Nurullayev, chairman of the National Front Party, deputy, also noted that they plan to sacrifice and distribute to those in need, as every year.

Tural Abbasli, chairman of the White Party, said that they will sacrifice in accordance with religious rules:

“We also intend to sacrifice and distribute it in accordance with religious rules. But we are not planning anything big and unusual. My wish from Allah is that everyone has the opportunity to sacrifice. Let there be such a situation that no one can be found to distribute sacrifices.”

Iqbal Agazade, chairman of the Umid Party, stated that they are trying to take certain steps this time, as every year:

“It is very rare for us to cover what we do in the press. But these issues have always been in our attention and we have done what is possible within our means.”

Adam Bakuvi, chairman of the Vahdat Party, said that support will be provided to elderly people and families in need during Eid al-Adha:

“These aids will not only be in Baku. The heads of our regional branches and our members will distribute sacrificial shares through donations. Orphans, the elderly and families in need will be helped.”

Mutallim Rahimli, chairman of the Adalat Party, emphasized that Eid al-Adha has already become a national value:

“Although Eid al-Adha is religious in nature, it has already become a national value for our people. Of course, everyone observes the important rituals during Eid al-Adha. The tolerance of our religion is also that it does not make sacrificing a compulsion, but recommends it according to one's means. This does not create conditions for anyone to gain superiority or be humiliated.
I have not planned to sacrifice on this holiday. But another beauty of Eid al-Adha is sharing. I will probably be able to take advantage of this opportunity created by the holiday.”

Giyas Sadigov, chairman of the Azerbaijan People's Party, stated that he mainly shares his sacrifices with needy neighbors:

“May Allah accept all sacrifices made. During Ramadan and Eid al-Adha, I first go to the mosque for holiday prayers. And I try to share my sacrifice mainly with people who are in need.”

Musa Agayev, chairman of the New Era Party, stated that they will carry out social activities within their means:

“We will give sacrificial shares to people in need. First of all, we will support people in need in the party. At the same time, we will try to show our help to socially disadvantaged people. We will carry out social activities as much as possible.”

Natig Jafarli, chairman of the REAL Party, stated that they continue family traditions:

“We are thinking of making certain donations to nursing homes or orphanages. We have tried to do this every year. We try to live the philosophy of Eid al-Adha.”

Agasif Shakiroglu, chairman of the Future Azerbaijan Party, said that the sacrifices will be distributed to needy members of the party and 17 non-party members: "The Future Azerbaijan Party supports its needy members with social-oriented aid, both food and financial, not only during Eid al-Adha and other significant days, but throughout the year. At the beginning of the year, a budget of approximately 15 thousand manats was allocated for charitable purposes. In exceptional cases, this budget is also allocated to other needy citizens of Azerbaijan. During Eid al-Adha, sacrificial shares will also be sent to the needy members of the party. There are also 17 people in need who are not members of the party according to the list. Among them are elders, old women, and those who have lost their family head. Sacrificial shares will also be sent to these people."

Gulaga Aslanli, deputy chairman of the Musavat Party, noted that the Party considers Eid al-Adha one of the sacred religious holidays:

“This holiday is an opportunity for people to share their resources with each other. The Party plans to send sacrificial shares to needy families within its means.”
